Best in Show
"Old River Keeper"
by Mike Coluccio
This print evokes feeling,
and mood. It's design is simplicity, and it is a great example
of the one-third rule with the foreground, subject and background
comprising one-third of the horizon line. The mood is perfect
- this photo was taken at the right time of the day.

First Place
"Old Glory and the Famous Flat Iron"
by Bob Lash
I love the composition
and the fact that the building and trees are essentially Black
& White in this photo with the American Flag standing out
in full color. A lot of detail can be seen in this famous building.

Second Place
"Baby Face"
by Harriet Sievers
Very nice presentation
and nice cropping. The thick orange border however is too large
and detracts from the owl's eyes. The border should be only about
one-eighth of an inch thick to act as an enhancement to the presentation.

Third Place
"Bedrock"
by Tom Doyle
This print is a lovely
landscape - especially the subtlety of the lighting. The print
itself is very nicely done, however the print should be a bit
crisper. Also the mat is rather distracting.
